Bandai 1/20 Scopedog

Completed October 2015

Given the large scale of the Scopedog and gritty nature of the Votoms universe, I decided to showcase weathering in this build.

Airfix 1/72 Messerschmitt Bf109E-3

Completed February 2015

I really like the little 1/72 Airfix Spitfire I that built a few years ago, so when IPMS Orange County had a monthly theme contest for Spitfire vs. Messerschmitt I looked at it as a good excuse to build the Airfix Messerschmitt. The Spitfire was built almost OOB, but I did a lot more work on the Messerschmitt.

Bandai VF-25S Ozma’s Messiah Valkyrie

Completed July 2014

A quick build of the 1/100 Messiah Valkyrie from Macross Frontier. I converted it to Ozma’s machine with a few mods and custom decals.

Robinson’s Raiders Diorama

Currently In-Progress

This is one of the largest projects I’ve ever put together and will be a 2-Part Diorama Featuring 2 heavily-modified Master Grade G-Fighters, 1 U.C. Hardgraph Core Fighter and several Hardgraph figures.

1/48 Scale Hasegawa iDOLM@STER F-22 Raptor

Currently In-Progress

A mash up of a real-world F-22 done up in the Ita-sha graphic style and decorated with characters from the Japanese pop-idol game iDOLM@STER. These bizarre color schemes were available as downloadable content for the game Ace Combat 6 and then released as kits from Hasegawa. Weird, colorful but also highly detailed. Right up my alley.

1/48 Scale Tamiya T34/76 Mod. 1941 Cast Turret Tank

Completed January 2013

My first real tank model. I got it cheap of eBay and went to work on it to practice some serious PE work and weathering.

Hasegawa 1/72 VF-1D Super Valkyrie

Completed October 2012

So I always say how much I love Macross and Valkyries. It’s time to put down the gunpla, break out the glue and build one (er, two and a half) of Hasegawa’s Valkyrie kits and make an ultimate Minmay Guard Valkyrie

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk. IIa

Completed April 2012

Airfix’s nice little, cheap, simple 1/72 Spitfire.

Bandai 1/12 Unicorn

Completed March 2012

The Unicorn blesses me with its presence… for the third (and final haha) time.

GM Group Build

Completed November 2011

A group of us at Those Gundam Guys picked up the Dengeki Hobby magazine with the GM Wagtail. Gamerabaenre came up with the idea of a group diorama showing GM teams assaulting a Zeon base…

Cherudim – 69!

Completed November 2010

I found Cherudims on sale at the Bluefin booth at this year’s Anime Expo. I picked up two for $40 and went nuts for a quick stress-relief build.

GM Custom – Ruby Guard

Completed August 2010

Take a GM Custom, add Ground Gundam elbows, NT-1 forearms, Mk. II leg pistons, mod the feet, thighs, gun, and shield mount, replace all of the thrusters but the 2 main ones, add plastic and metal bits, scribe some panel lines, create some decals to dedicate the model to your daughter…

Mustang vs. Citroen Diorama

Completed August 2009

I built this for a 31-Day competition. It took about 180 days… I’m not that thrilled with the outcome, but I learned a lot and the little car came out really nice.

HGUC Sazabi

Completed February 2009

I picked this kit up at Anime Expo 2008 and quickly snapped it together as stress relief from my TTTTT Hazels. Then I designed a ridiculous lot of decals for it. I was gonna OOB it, but my AMS took over and I added panel lines and a few proportion mods. I wish I had detailed my Hazels as well as I detailed this kit.

Titans Test Team Tetra Threat

Completed October 2008

I built this to enter in the Fichtenfoo Forum’s Advance of Zeta competition. It features four models, a Hazel Hummingbird, a custom-version of a Hazel Gigantic Arms Unit, a Hazel OWSLA and a Primrose Fighter. It won that contest, as well as 3rd place in the open class of BAKUC North America.

Master Grade Freedom Gundam

Completed December 2007

The first “modern” Master Grade kit I built since getting my airbrush. Custom paint job, of course. I went with the whole “Freedom” theme. Lots of masking tape and 178 star decals later…

HG 1/144 Gundam Super Astray Purple Frame

Completed May 2007

This project was a combination of a Gundam Astray Red Frame model with a set of resin B-Club option parts that was meant for the Blue Frame. This way the model gets the best of both Astrays and a paint scheme that reflects the combination. Hence the Purple Frame.

Hangar Diorama for Master Grade Gundam GP01

Completed October 2006

After over a year of various delays and a whole new GP01, my hangar diorama was finally completed.

Tamiya 1/48-Scale P-47D Thunderbolt “Razorback”

Completed June 2006

A “Commission” job. My dad asked me to build him a Thunderbolt for Father’s Day. He bought the kit and I built this World War II fighter and practiced my weathering techniques.

Master Grade RX-78 GP-01 Gundam Prototype

Completed May 2006

Years ago I built an MG GP-01. Recently I decided to make a simple hangar diorama for it. Then I bought some new decals for it from Models4U. Then ToysRUs put the kits on sale for $10 and I decided an entirely new GP-01 was needed to live up to everything I had planned for it…

HGUC Hot-Rod Zeong

Completed March 2006

Having built a couple kits using my airbrush, I wanted to do something unique… Something you could only do with an airbrush.

Tamiya 1/48-Scale F4U-1D Corsair

Completed February 2006

Ironically, my second airbrushed was NOT mecha. I went back to my airplane modeling roots…

Master Grade MS-05B Zaku I – Completed December 2005

My first airbrushed kit. Modified along the lines of Top’s Zaku I from the 08th MS Team.
