    I was a huge fan of both Robotech and I would watch the original Macross on VHS with no subtitles back in the eiighties. I’ve also been making models of mecha for years (on and off). I have to say that this is perhaps the most spectacular Valkyrie build I have ever laid eyes on! NO JOKE! What a source of inspiration! I’ve recently been gathering and making a Valkyrie or two for old times sake. My skills are such that I know about puttying and sanding but I’m no scratch builder or kit-basher. I have to ask- 1st, the clear gloss you used by Mr Hobby: does it leave any tacky feeling to the touch? I recently had a nightmarish experience where Testor’s model master clear gloss nearly destroyed a model I was making. And 2nd: Can you share your secrets on panel line washes or direct me to a good site for that sort of thing?

    @Krytios
    The Mr. Hobby gloss is great. It dries VERY fast and is not sticky. I use Testors enamel paints mixed with Ronsonol lighter fluid for my panel line washes.
