Here are the appropriate links:

Tokyo Part I: Getting to Tokyo, Meiji Jingu, Harajuku, Shizuoka and Yodobashi Akiba

Tokyo Part II: Asakusa, Akihabara, New Year’s Eve and Going Home

Shizuoka 1:1 Gundam and Model Museum Pictures

Back to normal model building posts next week. When I haven’t been writing this massive report I’ve been making a bit of progress on the VF-1D Valkyrie.

Finishing the GP01 Hangar

January 2nd, 2011 2 comments

OK, real quick since this is old news, here’s the last of the work on the GP01 Hangar…

Sculpted a boot over the cherry picker’s joint to replace the ugly ball and socket joint that was there:

Added some pegs to mount my Freedom Gundam’s wing to represent the USA:

Put the missiles on the Core Fighter:

Test Fit:

Added some tubing and conduits:

Painted the edges black so they didn’t look like crap:

Packed it up in a box, it survived the trip just fine:

I was glad to be done with that. I finished it the day before we left for Hong Kong!
